Driving and Parking

How to get to Caltech and where to park once you're there for the Cancer Biomarkers Bioinformatics Workshop.

Venue

The Cancer Biomarkers Bioinformatics Workshop will be held in the Beckman Institute building's auditorium. It's located at on Wilson Avenue between Del Mar Boulevard and San Pasqual Street.

Getting to Caltech

If you're staying at the Hilton Pasadena, just take the hotel shuttle, provided by the Workshop.

If you prefer to drive, it's a short 1.7km (1.1mi) trip:

  1. Exit the hotel and take South Los Robles Avenue toward the south.
  2. Turn left onto East Del Mar Boulevard, driving east.
  3. Turn right onto South Wilson Avenue, then right into the parking garage.

 

You can also walk. Just follow the driving directions going east from the Hilton on East Del Mar Avenue to South Wilson Avenue.

Parking at Caltech

Caltech has several paid parking lots that allow all-day parking for $6. Two are recommended for ease of the walk to Beckman Institute.

The diagram below shows the recommended parking. You may park in any visitor (unmarked) stall for $6 for the day.
