The Early Detection Research Network (EDRN), an initiative of the National Cancer Institute (NCI), brings together dozens of institutions to help accelerate the translation of biomarker information into clinical applications and to evaluate new ways of testing cancer in its earliest stages and for cancer risk.

Steering Committee Meeting

On Tuesday, January 24, 2012 the NCI-funded Alliance of Glycobiologists for Cancer Detection and Cancer Risk will host a symposium entitled: Interfacing Glycoscience with Disease and Clinical Practice. The symposium will take place at the Natcher Conference Center, NIH Campus, from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM.

Announcement

NASA has selected the EDRN Informatics Team to receive a Group Achievement Award. The award will be given to the teams at NCI, DMCC, Dartmouth and JPL. These are NASA-wide awards and selected by an awards committee appointed by NASA Headquarters. The citation is as follows: For the innovative and pioneering use of NASA data system technologies to construct a national bioinformatics network of cancer biomarker research.
