NID1
Basics
Aliases:
This biomarker is also known as:- Nidogen-1,
- NID,
- entactin,
- nidogen (enactin),
Description…
NID1, a sulfated glycoprotein widely distributed in basement membranes and tightly associated with laminin, is a member of the nidogen family of basement membrane glycoproteins. NID1 interacts with several other components of basement membranes, like collagen IV and perlecan, and may play a role in cell interactions with the extracellular matrix.
