Description…
DSG2 is a calcium-binding transmembrane glycoprotein component of intercellular desmosome junctions in vertebrate epithelial cells. It is involved in the interaction of plaque proteins and intermediate filaments mediating cell-cell adhesion. Mutations in this gene have been associated with arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia, familial, 10.
