Aliases:This biomarker is also known as:
- Semaphorin receptor SEP,
- plexin B1,
PLXNB1, a receptor for SEMA4D, plays roles in RHOA activation and subsequent changes of the actin cytoskeleton, axon guidance, invasive growth and cell migration. PLXNB1 is a single-pass type I membrane protein and is secreted. It is highly expressed in fetal kidney, and at slightly lower levels in fetal brain, lung and liver.
